Help Us Keep Growing 🌱

The Community Patch Project has just started a subscription—and we'd love you to sign up!

Our Challenge This Year

In all honesty, this year has been a bit of a struggle for us. We've had to deal with intense heat, pests, crop failures, and a lack of capacity, which has meant we've not been able to make any money to pay for essential things like compost and water bills. So we're starting a subscription platform using Open Collective to raise money to keep our project going.

Why We Need Your Support

More importantly, we've come to the realisation that, although our project has been running successfully for 3 years now, we can't keep it going on volunteer time alone—we are stretched too thin and need the consistency that we can't ask of our wonderful volunteers. So we're aiming to employ a member of staff next year for 2 days a week.

The Math is Simple

We've figured out that if 100 people donate £10 a month we'll cover the cost of this paid member of staff that will ensure we can maintain our amazing garden, harvest on time, and deliver to our food banks, grocers, and restaurants.

Your Impact

So we're asking, if you can (and we know times are hard), we'd be so grateful if you could choose the 'No-Dig Champ' option and donate £10 a month to us—less than an hour's wage per month—so that we can try and fund a paid grower position and keep our project going.

Support Us on Open Collective

Thank you so much ❤️ Let's keep fighting for a better food system 🌱

Every Contribution Counts

Whether you can support us at £10 a month or any other amount, every donation helps us:

  • Maintain our amazing community garden
  • Harvest fresh produce on time
  • Deliver to food banks, grocers, and restaurants
  • Share knowledge about growing food
  • Build a better, more sustainable food system

Together, we can keep The Community Patch Project thriving for years to come. 🌱
